Eligible clients may have the option to have their tax preparation fees deducted directly from their federal refund, subject to applicable program requirements and restrictions.

Tax Refunds
Most electronically filed federal tax returns are processed within approximately 21 days, although processing times can vary. Returns requiring additional review or containing errors may take longer. If you claim certain credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), federal law may require the IRS to hold your refund until at least mid-February.

State refund processing times vary. You can check your refund status directly through your state's Department of Revenue or Taxation website.
In some cases, all or part of a federal tax refund may be applied to certain outstanding debts through the Treasury Offset Program. If you believe your refund was offset, you can contact the Treasury Offset Program Call Center at: 800-304-3107
Electronic Filing & Refund Options
Electronic filing provides a convenient and efficient way to submit your tax return. Benefits may include: faster processing; secure electronic transmission; confirmation when your return is accepted or rejected; reduced data-entry errors; and faster refunds when combined with direct deposit.
A refund advance is an option that may allow qualifying clients to receive an advance based on their anticipated tax refund. Eligibility, approval, advance amounts, timing, fees, and other terms may vary. Restrictions apply, and approval is not guaranteed.
